Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your facewhen you push them down a flight of stairs.

My name it is Robert, they call me Bob Pittman,
I sail on the Ino with skipper Tom Brown;
I'm bound to have Dolly or Biddy or Molly,
As soon as I'm able to plank the cash down.
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
I'm the son of a seacook and a cook on a trader,
I can dance, I can sing, I can reef the main boom;
I can handle a jigger and I cuts a fine figure,
Whenever I gets in a boat's standing room.
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
If the voyage is good then this fall I will do it,
I want two-pound-ten for a ring and a priest;
A couple of dollars for clean shirts and collars,
And a handful of coppers to make up a feast.
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
I went to a dance one night in Fox Harbour,
There were plenty of girls as nice as you'd wish;
There was one pretty maiden a-chawing of frankgum,
Just like a young kitten a-gnawing fresh fish.
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
There's plump little Polly, her name is Goldsworthy,
There's John Coady's Kitty and Mary Tibbo;
There's Clara from Brule and young Martha Foley,
But the nicest of all is my girl from Toslow.
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
Farewell and adieu to ye fair ones of Valen,
Farewell and adieu to ye ones in the Cove;
Now let ye be jolly, don't be melancholy,
For I can't marry all or in the chokey I'd be.
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
Farewell and adieu to you girls of Fox Harbour,
Oderin and Presque, Crabbes Hole and Brule;
I'm bound to the westward to the wall with the hole in,
For I can't marry all or in the chokey I'd be.
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
Farewell and adieu to ye girls of St. Kyran's,
Of Paradise and Presque, big and little Bona;
I'm bound unto Toslow to marry sweet Biddy,
And if I don't do so, I'm afraid of her da.
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
I've bought me a house from Katherine Davis,
A twenty-pound bed from Jimmy McGraw;
I'll get me a settle, a pot and a kettle,
And then I'll be ready for Biddy - hurrah!
We'll rant and we'll roar like true Newfoundlanders,
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below;
Until we see bottom inside of two sunkers,
Then straight through the channel to Toslow we'll go.
Am I the only sane person left on this planet?

Did a blood clot kill Jesus on the cross? To allow this to sink in, let me write it once more, did a blood clot kill Jesus on the cross?
I would have thought it was being beaten like a rented mule, dragged up across a cliff with a hunk of wood on his back and then left to welter in the sun like a salt cod fish on a flake.
What rock did these “experts” crawl up from and who is paying them to publish such garbage. Blaming a blood clot as the reason a person died during a crucifixion is like blaming a yeast infection as the primary cause of death for a lady who was buried alive.
Let’s just say that it was a blood clot that killed the father, the son and the holy ghost. How would you ever figure this out 2000 years after the fact? Did the “experts” gather up the guys from CSI Miami, along with a couple of flashlights and some shovels and dig Jesus up and perform an autopsy?
We interrupt this regular scheduled Blog to bring you breaking news… Today a 28 year old male was thought earlier to have died from a house fire, “experts” now believe that as he was being burned alive, a bag of pretzels fell from a shelve and he choked to death on the pretzel. There were no remains or scientific evidence to back this up, but since we used the words "experts" and published it online, it must be true!

Did a blood clot kill Jesus on the cross?
Experts debate scenario for
pulmonary embolism
The Associated Press
Updated: 8:15 p.m. ET
June 9, 2005
JERUSALEM - Jesus may have died from a blood clot that reached his lungs, an Israeli physician said Wednesday, challenging the popular conception that he died of asphyxiation and blood loss during his crucifixion.
Dr. Benjamin Brenner, a researcher at the Rambam Medical Center in the Israeli port city of Haifa, said he was publicizing his theory to raise awareness about pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal disorder often associated with long-distance air travel.However, the author of an earlier in-depth medical report into the cause of Jesus’ death dismissed the theory, and Bible scholars said that while establishing the physical cause of Jesus’ death was interesting, it ignored the spiritual dimension.
“It is known that the common cause of death in the setting of multiple trauma,
immobilization and dehydration is pulmonary embolism,” Brenner wrote in the
Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. “This fits well with Jesus’ condition and
actually was in all likelihood the major cause of death of crucified victims.”A pulmonary embolism is caused when a blood clot travels to the lungs, usually from the leg, causing an acute shortness of breath and chest pains. It is frequently fatal.
Based on scripture and scientific papersBrenner based his understanding of Jesus’ condition at the time of his death on a 1986 paper published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, which referred to the New Testament and contemporary religious sources.
That paper found that before his crucifixion, Jesus went 12 hours without food or water, was under emotional stress, was beaten and forced to walk to the crucifixion site carrying the heavy cross beam of the cross on which he was crucified. He also was scourged before being nailed to the cross, leading to some blood loss.Brenner said the authors may have missed the blood clot possibility because it was not fully understood then.
“The field of blood coagulation has gone through significant changes in the past 20 years,” he wrote.
But Dr. William D. Edwards, a co-author of the original paper, dismissed Brenner’s theory, saying he was well aware of the effects of pulmonary embolisms at the time.
“We didn’t list it in our article because we didn’t consider it a likely cause,” Edwards said, replying to questions by e-mail from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. “Jesus was on the cross for only six hours. It seems unlikely that a large deep leg vein thrombus could develop and cause fatal pulmonary embolization in that short time.”
Bible scholars said that focusing on Jesus’ physical suffering as the cause of death missed the point.
“What they are doing is the autopsy of the physical body, which is always interesting from an academic standpoint,” said Stephen Pfann, a Bible scholar in Jerusalem. “But if people concentrate on that part of the event alone they are missing the most important part, which is the spiritual suffering.“The major trauma for the son of God is the spiritual trauma, the loneliness feeling the rejection of God and the shame of the world that came upon him at that point,” he said.

If only he was a mutant with numbchuck skills and fell between the age of 13 – 19
Thursday, June 09, 2005 | 0 comments »
Upon driving home yesterday from another unfulfilling day at the office I witnessed a site that I have never seen before, a massive turtle was stuck in the middle of a four lane street.
It appears as though another building is being put up in the vicinity of our office, no doubt filled with another crop of mindless engineers. To make room for such a mammoth building in Michigan the idea is to build out not up, so another four acres of woods were destroyed; I guess no one gave poor mister turtle advance notice that he was being evicted today.
As many animals as I have slathered in my day, I felt bad for the poor turtle. Is it because this animal is somewhat exotic to me? (They have no turtles in Newfoundland).
Then I started thinking, if only this turtle was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, he would have shown the commuters and their cars who was really running the show.
Speaking of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, what’s the deal with the long cryptic name anyway? Three of the words in the name have no meaning whatsoever:
1. Teenage – does their age really matter? Think about it! If you were getting paid minimum wage to work at a bar and four of these green sons of bitches roll up into the club with Ninja weapons in hand and ask for a round of beers are you going to ask for ID?Any case the street turtle defiantly ended his miserable life yesterday.
2. Mutant – based on their appearance, once would only assume they were mutated somehow… again, they are six foot tall turtles who strut around on their back legs through the sewers of New York (which leads to another question, if they live in New York, than why in the hell do they talk like they are surfers from California?)
3. Ninja – there are four of these ripped fuckers bouncing around with masks on and carrying ninja type weapons. Hmmm… Looks like a Ninja to me.

A Letter from Mom in Newfoundland
Dear Son,
I am writing this slow cause I know you can't read fast.
We don't live where we did when you left. Your dad read in the paper thatmost car accidents happen within 20 miles of home - so we moved. I can't sendthe address cause the last Newfie family that lived here took the numbers withthem for their next house so they wouldn't have to change their address.
This place has a washing machine but the first day I put 4 shirts in it ,pulled the chain and haven't seen them since.
It rained here only twice last week.-three days the first time and fourdays the second time.
About the coat you wanted me to send you. Aunt Sue said it would be alittle too heavy to send in the mail with all them heavy buttons, so we cut themoff. I put them in the pockets.
We got a bill from the funeral home. It said thet if we didn't make thelast payment on Grandma's funeral, up she comes.
About your sister. She had a baby this morning. I haven't found out yetwhether it is a boy or girl, so I don't know if you're an aunt or an uncle.
Your uncle John fell in the whiskey vat - some men tried to pull him out,but he fought them off and drowned. We cremated him. He burned for three days.
Three of your friends went off the bridge in a pickup. One was driving andthe other two were in the back. The driver got out. He rolled down the windowand swam to safety. The other two drowned-they couldn't get the tailgateopen!
Aunt Mabel is knitting you some socks. She would have sent them by now,but I told her you had grown another foot since she last saw you, so she had toknit another one.
No more news for now.
Love Mom

Be Strong, Honey!
A prisoner escapes from prison where he had been kept for 15 years. As he runs away, he finds a house and breaks into it. He finds a young couple in bed. He gets the guy out of bed, ties him up to a chair, ties the woman to the bed, gets on top of her, kisses her on the neck, then gets up, and goes to the bathroom.
While he is there, the husband tells his wife: "Listen, this guy is a prisoner, look at his clothes! He probably spent a lot of time in prison, and has not seen a woman in years.
If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain, just do what he tells you, give him satisfaction. This guy must be dangerous, if he gets angry, he will kill us. Be strong, honey. I love you"
To which the wife responds, "I am glad you think that way. Sure, he has not seen a woman in years, but he was not kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me that he found you very sexy, and asked if we kept any Vaseline in the bathroom. Be strong honey. I love you too..."

MasterCard Wedding
This is a true story about a recent wedding that took place at Clemson University. It was in the local newspaper and even Jay Leno mentioned it. It was a huge wedding with about 300 guests.
After the wedding, at the reception, the groom got up on stage with a microphone to talk to the crowd.
He said he wanted to thank everyone for coming, many from long distances, to support them at their wedding. He especially wanted to thank the bride's and his family and to thank his new father-in-law for providing such a lavish reception.
As a token of his deep appreciation he said he wanted to give everyone a special gift just from him. So taped to the bottom of everyone's chair, including the wedding party, was a manila envelope. He said this was his gift to everyone, and asked them to open their envelope. Inside each manila envelope was an 8 x10 glossy of his bride having sex with the best man. The groom
had gotten suspicious of them weeks earlier and had hired a private detective to tail them.
After just standing there, just watching the guests' reactions for a couple of minutes, he turned to the best man and said, F--- you!" then turned to his bride and said, "F--- you!" Then he turned to the dumbfounded crowd and said, "I'm outta here." He had the marriage annulled first thing in the morning.
While most people would have cancelled the wedding immediately after finding out about the affair, this guy goes through with the charade, as if nothing were wrong. His revenge... making the bride's parents pay over $32,000 for a 300 guest wedding and reception, and best of all, trashing the bride's and best man's reputations in front of 300 friends and family members.
This guy has balls the size of church bells.
Do you think we might get a MasterCard "priceless" commercial outta this?
Elegant wedding reception for 300 family members and friends.....$32,000
Wedding photographs commemorating the occasion......$3,000
Deluxe two week honeymoon accommodations in Maui.....$8,500
The look on everyone's face when they see the 8x10 glossy of the bride humping the best man...
Priceless!
There are something’s money can't buy.
For everything else there's MASTERCARD!!!

Microsoft vs. General Motors
For all of us who feel only the deepest love
and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on.
At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the
computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up
with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving
$25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon".
In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release
stating:
"If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars
with the following
characteristics:
1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a
new car.
3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would
have to pull over to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car,
restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason
you would simply accept this.
4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your
car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to
reinstall the engine.
5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable,
five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five
percent of the roads.
6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be
replaced by a single "This Car Has performed An Illegal Operation" warning
light.
7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.
8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and
refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned
the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.
9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to
drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same
manner as the old car.
10.You'd have to press the " Start" button to turn the engine off.

The Independent is a great alternative to the propaganda that we get from the regular Canadian news. Below is a paste in from an article ran by Ryan Cleary (fantastic writer) regarding our piece of shit Prime Minster Paul Martin’s visit to St. John’s this week.

By Ryan Cleary (St. John's)
The Independent
Sunday, June 05, 2005
Please excuse me this week, regular reader, this column is not written for you.
•••
Good mornin’, Mr. Prime Minister, and welcome to Town, as we call it. They said you’d be here today and planned to pick up The Independent. (Your people were good enough to call in advance and order copies to be dropped off at the hotel.)
There’s always an audience, but it’s a little different knowing someone really special will be in the crowd. It’s like being in the middle of cooking Jigs Dinner and finding out the Queen will be dropping by for a plate.
Make sure you sample John Crosbie and Ray Guy, Mr. Martin, they’re our salt meat and cabbage. Siobhan — whom you know as a fine, upstanding Liberal — is our fresh beet, as in beat you over the head (more of a gentle tap, actually), no matter who you are, if she thinks you have it coming. (See page 25 — “both Liberals and Conservatives appear to have done something unsavory,” re those audio tapes.)
No doubt, prime minister, you’ve already taken in the wonderful view of the harbour. The cruise ships, which will be arriving soon, can barely squeeze through the slit in the hill we call The Narrows.
There are always ships coming and going, mostly fishing boats freckled with seagull shadows. They say there was a time when a man could walk across the harbour on the decks of fishing schooners anchored side by side.
Don’t try that today, Mr. prime minister, you’ll get soaked and covered in condoms. The sewage treatment plant will be under construction for a few years yet. Thanks for the federal contribution, by the way.
You might say the fishing isn’t what it used to be.
Now, before you ask yourself whether this is an unload-on-Paul Martin rant, relax — it’s not.
But there are certain realities that must be pointed out, like the fact Newfoundland is an island dependent on fish and there are hardly any left. Thanks, too, for increasing the surveillance of foreign trawlers, which certainly helps, but it would help a lot more if Canada could actually arrest the foreign pirates that rape our precious Grand Banks — instead of sending them home for discipline that never comes.
If you’ve got time during your visit you should take a dart down the Southern Shore to Trepassey or hitch a helicopter to Harbour Breton. Wear a black suit, if you have one with you, the towns are still mourning the death of their futures.
There’s nothing special about those Coast Guard ships you see on the southside of St. John’s harbour — they’re always there. There was a big stink a couple of years ago when it was revealed the Coast Guard didn’t have enough money for gas because of budget cuts.
If you want a ride on one you’ll have to fill up the tank yourself.
By the way, that ugly rust bucket of a boat tied up on the Coast Guard wharf is the Portuguese trawler Santa Mafalda. She was arrested recently for illegal fishing in Canadian waters, charges levelled back in 2003. Enforcement officials couldn’t pull her in until they caught her inside the 200-mile limit again — which they did. She’s been cited 14 times over the past 10 years for illegal fishing.
The moratorium we’ve been dealing with since 1992 wasn’t extended to foreigners. We stopped fishing; they didn’t. Any decision yet on custodial management? Maybe you’ll consider the idea come next election. Just say you won’t forget about it again when the election’s over.
St. John’s harbour actually looks similar to Halifax, don’t you think? There’s one exception, of course — there aren’t any navy boats; they’re all tied up in Nova Scotia. Strange, considering we’re on the edge of the North Atlantic. What’s that about, can you say?
There aren’t many federal jobs around here period. Newfoundland and Labrador is almost like an abandoned federal outpost.
The offshore is booming, mind you, and the new Atlantic Accord money will come in handy, but when exactly can we expect the $2.6-billion cheque?
Is Scott Reid with you, by the way? Hey Scott, have we paid enough yet for last fall’s flag flap? Now that you’re here you can look in our faces — stop us in the street, if you like — and repeat what you said.
Hopefully, Mr. Prime Minister, the weather today will be half decent so you can take a walk yourself. Take The Independent with you so you can read the special series we’re running about young Newfoundlanders. High school students here are worried about their future. They question where the jobs will come from; whether the population will continue to decline; who will look after the old people that are left.
You’ll also come across signs of hope. Have a look over on the top of the southside hills, high over the parked Coast Guard ships and the Santa Mafalda.
See the flag there, the pink, white and green — the same one that flies from our front-page masthead? Four of our young men took it upon themselves recently to sew it together and raise it over St. John’s.
The flag represents the new Newfoundland and Labrador — passion, drive, determination. If you take anything back to Ottawa with you sir, take that.
Enjoy your day, Mr. Prime Minister.

Having actually read the bible, I can't recall the part where Jesus tells his followers to mind everyone else's business, get into everyone else's personal life, and demand that everyone in the world do whatever you seem to think is correct behaviour. I do however recall the part where big JC says to do unto others what you would have them does to you, and not to judge others unless you want to be judged too.These nut jobs are not Christian in the sense of following Christ; they are just power mad busybodies who have lost their sanity.
Why are they so caught up on a person’s sexual preference? How are these politically powerful groups allowed to run around and actually open their crooked narrowed minded mouths – oh yeah, that’s right the god damn president is one of these nut bars as well. The same Christian lunatic who is about to use his first veto as a president in an attempt to block further funding into stem cell research. Research which could possibly save the lives of millions of people and cure numerous diseases.
But, I guess we don’t need that research, nor do we need homosexuals. According to our right winged Christians friends, Jesus is soon coming to judge us all. Once he is here he is going to save all the diseased people and kill a bunch of faggots.

Yo VIP let's kick it!
Ice ice baby (x2)
All right stop collaborate and listen
Ice is back with my brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop yo I don't know
Turn off the lights and I'll glow
To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle
Dance go rush to the speaker that booms
I'm killing your brain like a poisonous mushroom
Deadly when I play a dope melody
Anything less than the best is a felony
Love it or leave it you better gain weight
You better hit bull's eye the kid don't play
If there was a problem yo I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
CHORUS Ice ice baby vanillla (x4)
Now that the party is jumping
With the bass kicked in and the vegas are pumpin'
Quick to the point to the point no faking
I'm cooking MC's like a pound of bacon
Burning them if you ain't quick and nimble
I go crazy when I hear a cymbal
And a hi-hat with a souped up tempo
I'm on a roll and it's time to go solo Rollin' in my 5.0
With my rag-top down so my hair can blow
The girlies on standby waving just to say hi
Did you stop no I just drove by
Kept on pursuing to the next stop
I busted a left and I'm heading to the next block
The block was dead
Yo so I continued to A1A Beachfront Avenue
Girls were hot wearing less than bikinis
Rockman lovers driving Lamborghinis
Jealous 'cause I'm out getting mine
Shay with a guage and Vanilla with a nine
Reading for the chumps on the wall
The chumps acting ill because they're so full of eight balls
Gunshots rang out like a bell
I grabbed my nine all I heard were shells
Falling on the concrete real fast
Jumped in my car slammed on the gas
Bumpet to bumper the avenue's packed
I'm trying to get away before the jackers jack
Police on the scene you know what I mean
They passed me up confronted all the dope fiends
If there was a problem yo I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it
REPEAT CHORUS
Take heed 'cause I'm a lyrical poet
Miami's on the scene just in case you didn't know it
My town that created all the bass sound
Enough to shake and kick holes in the ground
'Cause my style's like a chemical spill
Feasible rhymes that you can vision and feel
Conducted and formed
This is a hell of a concept
We make it hype and you want to step with this
Shay plays on the fade slice like a ninja
Cut like a razor blade so fast other DJs say damn
If my rhyme was a drug I'd sell it by the gram
Keep my composure when it's time to get loose
Magnetized by the mic while I kick my juice
If there was a problem yo I'll solve it
Check out the hook while Shay revolves it
Ice ice baby vanilla
Ice ice baby (oh-oh) vanilla
Ice ice baby vanilla
Ice ice baby vanilla ice
Yo man let's get out of here
Word to your mother
Ice ice baby too cold
Ice ice baby too cold too cold (x2)
