Well, actually, the score is no doubt higher for the smugglers. You have to wonder how many times they were successful. The picutres below are from Kelowna, BC.

Retirement Plan

If you had purchased $1,000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original $1,000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have less than $5.00 left.

But if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling price, you would have $214.00.

Based on the above, current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle. It's called the 401 Keg Plan. I'll drink to that!!!!

ICQ

I am here procrastinating at work, this morning was pretty hectic and since I ate, I just can’t seem to find that extra kick I need to get back into high gear. So, I figured I would sip on a pot of Coffee and try writing something different. Instead of rambling about the present, I would open a chapter from Feltham’s past.

I could write numerous Blog’s regarding my old friend from College, Keith Smith. It has been at least five years since I have been in contact with this unique guy from Torbay, Newfoundland; however, I still find myself smiling from time to time when he crosses my mind.

For at least one semester, an older lady named Sharon sat in front of me in our classes. She was a very nice lady and did a tremendous job fitting in with the class given the fact that she was old enough to be a mother to the majority of us.

Everyone within the class was hooked up on ICQ (instant messenger of choice at the time) and we would constantly send messages back and forth to each other. Over a period of several weeks, Keith was receiving the same sexual spam messages that stated, “Young girls, to suck and fuck your manly rod now!” I am not sure who calls their penis a ‘manly rod’, but Keith and I found the wording of the message hilarious and it was a running joke of ours for some time.

It was close to exam time in our Java course and the pressure of this extensive course was on. Our teacher was a nice lady – I think her name was Rhonda – but was pushing maybe 300 pounds. Any case, I sent a message to Keith on ICQ and asked him if he was going to pass the exam. Here is where things get complicated. At the same exact time, Sharon (the old lady in front of me) sent Keith a similar message.

Several minutes went by and Keith did not respond to me. So, I look across the room at him and ask the same question. To which he responded that he already answered, he paused as it sunk in, and his face turned beat red as his head dropped to the desk. Long story short, Keith checks his ICQ history and finds out that by mistake he responded to Sharon. The message went something like, “The only way I am going to pass this exam is if Rhonda sucks and fucks my manly rod!”

Keith did not receive a response from Sharon; however, he received a response from me as I fell to the floor, tears rolling from my face, holding my stomach. I don’t think Sharon said too much to Keith after that day, nor did Keith try to explain the response he provided her. To this day Sharon probably associates Keith as being a troubled young man who made his way through College by having fat women suck and fuck his manly rod!

Weekend?

Carrie and I are planning on taking off for this coming weekend. It has been a while since we have gotten out of town together for a trip, so it should be a lot of fun.

We are going Skiing somewhere in northern Michigan; however as of this moment I can’t decide on where to go. My first choice was to go to Boyne Mountain, although a friend recommended Caberfae Peaks. He is a (or was) an avid Skier and assures me that Caberfae is the better choice, I should not doubt his opinion, but if I were to choose which place to visit solely on their website the decision would be easier

Take a look for yourself and tell me which you would choose (on website only)

Police: Suspect kills self after church shooting
Woman killed, man and child wounded

Sunday, February 26, 2006; Posted: 8:40 p.m. EST (01:40 GMT)

DETROIT, Michigan (AP) -- A suspected gunman who opened fire with a shotgun during a church service Sunday morning killed a woman and wounded two people before he shot himself a mile away, police said.

Investigators believe a domestic dispute led to the shooting at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church about 11 a.m., said Second Deputy Police Chief James Tate.

A 9-year-old child, sitting near the unidentified woman who died, was hit in the hand by a buckshot pellet, Tate said. Police didn't know the relationship of the pair.

As the gunman fled the church, he critically shot a man trying to protect his wife from a carjacking attempt, officials said.

Many of the hundreds of people in the church screamed as they ducked under the pews for protection, said Ann Armstrong, 30, who was attending the service.

"I seen him come in through the balcony door, and he pulled the gun from under his coat," Armstrong said. "He just started shooting her, then he shot at the pulpit."

No one at the pulpit was hit, but a bullet struck a musical instrument she said.

More than five hours after the shooting spree, Tate said officers spotted the suspect, who was identified as 24-year-old Kevin Lorenzo Collins, walking about a mile south of the church.

Collins shot himself to death before police captured him, Tate said.

Church members embraced each other after the gunman left and continued to pray as police started coming in, Armstrong said.

"It was a lot of crying, a lot of hugging and a lot of praying," she said.

Church members then continued the service, Tate said.

"They didn't let this incident stop the reason why they came to church," he said. "They came to worship."

Last night was strange.

I am still trying to put all the pieces together, as of right now I am confused on so many levels.

A couple of points, Absinthe smuggled from Switzerland played a part of the debauchery, and I am still trying to figure out how a strange lady slept on my living room floor and said, "Okay, you guys can fuck me now, but don’t tell my friends” before I proceeded to bed. I will need to compare notes with others.

BE WARNED!

I don't how many of you shop at Costco, but this may be useful to know.

I am posting this to you to warn you of something that happened to me, as I have become a victim of a clever scam while out shopping.

This happened to me at the Costco in Detroit and it could happen to you.

Here's how the scam works:

Two seriously good-looking 18-year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping in the trunk. They both start wiping your windscreen with a rag and Windex, wearing only hot pants and really skimpy t-shirts.

It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a ride to another Costco.

You agree and they get in the back seat. On the way, they start making out with each other. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and gives you head, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen last Tuesday, Wednesday, twice on Thursday, again on Saturday, and also yesterday.

Be careful out there.

I am not sure how long this has been out, but I just viewed a new video from the Newfoundland Tourism Department. To say that I am impressed would be an understatement. Apparently they are releasing numerous new clips for this upcoming season, and if the quality and overall mood keeps consistent with this one, I will be very pleased.

As a side note, four centuries of my ancestry can be traced to this area within Bonavista Bay, the start of the new world.

Dear Alcohol

Monday, February 20, 2006 | 0 comments »

Dear Alcohol,

First and foremost, let me tell you that I'm a huge fan of yours. As my friend, you always seem to be there when needed. The perfect post-work cocktail, a beer at the game, and you're even around in the holiday's hidden inside chocolates as you warm us when we're stuck in the midst of endless family gatherings. However, lately I've been wondering about your intentions. While I want to believe that you have my best interests at heart, I feel that your influence has led to some unwise consequences:

1. Phone calls: While I agree with you that communication is important, I question the suggestion that any conversation of substance or necessity takes place after 2 a.m. Why would you make me call those ex-boyfriends/girlfriends when I know for a fact they do not want to hear from me during the day, let alone all hours of the night?

2. Eating: Now, you know I love a good meal, but why do you suggest that I eat a taco with chili sauce, along with a big Italian meatball and some stale chips (washed down with WINE & topped off with a Kit Kat after a few cheese curls & chili cheese fries)? I'm an eclectic eater, but I think you went too far this time.

3. Clumsiness: Unless you're subtly trying to tell me that I need to do more yoga to improve my balance, I see NO need to hammer the issue home by causing me to fall down. It's completely unnecessary, and the black and blue marks that appear on my body mysteriously the next day are beyond me. Similarly, it should never take me more than 45 seconds to get the front door key into the lock.

4. Furthermore: The hangovers have GOT to stop! This is getting ridiculous. I know a little penance for our previous evening's debauchery may be in order, but the 3pm hangover immobility is completely unacceptable. My entire day is shot. I ask that, if the proper precautions are taken (water, vitamin B, bread products, aspirin) prior to going to sleep/passing out face down on the kitchen floor with a bag of popcorn, the hangover should be minimal and in no way interfere with my daily activities.

Alcohol, I have enjoyed our friendship for some years now and would like to ensure that we remain on good terms. You've been the invoker of great stories, the provocation for much laughter, and the needed companion when I just don't know what to do with the extra money in my pockets. In order to continue this friendship, I ask that you carefully review my grievances above & address them immediately. I will look for an answer no later than Thursday 3pm (pre-happy hour) on your possible solutions & hopefully we can continue this fruitful partnership.

Thank you,
Your Biggest Fan

It is very sad to say that after reading this list, it appears that I have grown up... Well lately I have been growing more out than up, bvt I guess the two go hand in hand.

25 SIGNS YOU HAVE GROWN UP:

1. Your houseplants are alive, and you can't smoke any of them.

2. Having sex in a twin bed is out of the question.

3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge.

4. 6:00 AM is when you get up, not when you go to bed.

5. You hear your favorite song in an elevator.

6. You watch the Weather Channel.

7. Your friends marry and divorce instead of "hook up" and "break up."

8. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14.

9. Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as "dressed up."

10. You're the one calling the police because those %&@# kids next door won't turn down the stereo.

11. Older relatives feel comfortable telling sex jokes around you.

12. You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore.

13. Your car insurance goes down and your car payments go up.

14. You feed your dog Science Diet instead of McDonald's leftovers.

15. Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt.

16. You take naps.

17. Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one.

18. Eating a basket of chicken wings at 3 AM would severely upset, rather than settle, your stomach.

19. You go to the drug store for ibuprofen and antacid, not condoms and pregnancy tests.

20. A $4.00 bottle of wine is no longer "pretty good stuff."

21. You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time.

22. "I just can't drink the way I used to" replaces "I'm never going to drink that much again."

23. 90% of the time you spend in front of a computer is for real work.

24. You drink at home to save money before going to a bar.

25. When you find out your friend is pregnant you congratulate them instead of asking "Oh S*$# what the hell happened?"

Bonus:: You read this entire list looking desperately for one sign that doesn't apply to you and can't find one to save your sorry old ass.

An ugly woman walks into a shop with her two kids.

The shopkeeper asks, "Are they twins?"

The woman says, "No, he's 9 and she's 7. Why? Do you think they look alike?"

"No," he replies. "I just can't believe you got laid twice!"

Ahhh… The pleasures of a $200 workout!

Carrie and I finally got around to joining a new gym last night, which is great as it is located just 100 metres from our building. We head out, get signed up, and hit the weights for about an hour, and then I lose in a game of Basketball against Carrie, don’t laugh; she has a killer jump shot! Things are still going well at this point, that is until I make my way back to my locker.

I could see the dangling lock from across the change room and immediately ran out to my locker. Upon opening the door and checking my coat, I let a sigh of relief to see that my wallet was there. The sign of relief quickly transformed into a blood curling flurry of four letter words as I look into my wallet and notice that it is empty.

Some low life piece of shit pinched my wallet and took the roundabout $150 cash in my wallet. Interestingly enough they left the credit cards, which leads me to believe that their ethnic background would not allow them to pass their selves off as a “John”. The lost money added to the cost of membership last night, it cost me $200 to workout for 1.5 hours.

I hate thieves. I believe they rank somewhere below child molesters and rapists. How someone can take another persons property is beyond me.

This is the second time I have been robbed in the last 3 months, to which I ask, why can I not catch the son of a bitch in the act? I am guessing it would be a good thing for the perpetrator though, because I would be serving 25 to life today if I had caught the guy last night.

To the guy who pinched my wallet… Your mother was fucked by 100 goats, the 100th one of course being your father!

Well, well, well… SuperBowl has come and gone, all the preparations seemed to have paid off for the city of Detroit and Windsor. I was very impressed with the setup downtown and you could feel the pride the locals had as the world transcended on their city.

After partying for five nights straight, my wallet and subsequently my liver seem to have had enough. Now I get to recover until this Friday when I head to Germany for nine days, which you don’t have to be a genius to realize that the liver and wallet will be molested again.

Trevor and I went to the Kid Rock show at Joe Louis Arena on Saturday night, which was awesome! We actually got to see a some special guests as Kid Rock brought Hank Williams Jr. and Bob Seger on the stage for a couple of tunes.

Do you have feelings of inadequacy? Are you depressed? Do you suffer from shyness? Do you sometimes wish you were more assertive?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist about Tequila.

Tequila is the safe, natural way to feel better and more confident about yourself and your actions.

Tequila can help ease you out of your shyness and let you tell the world that you're ready and willing to do just about anything.

You will notice the benefits of Tequila almost immediately, and with a regimen of regular doses you can overcome any obstacles that prevent you from living the life you want to live.

Shyness and awkwardness will be a thing of the past, and you will discover many talents you never knew you had. Stop hiding and start living, with Tequila.

Tequila may not be right for everyone. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use Tequila.

However, women who wouldn't mind nursing or becoming pregnant are encouraged to try it.

Side effects may include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, incarceration, erotic lustfulness, loss of motor control, loss of clothing, loss of money, loss of virginity, delusions of grandeur, table dancing, headache, dehydration, dry mouth ,and a desire to sing Karaoke and play all-night rounds of Strip Poker, Truth Or Dare, and Naked Twister.

For all of you who have nothing better to ask, today it is +6c here in Windsor / Detroit

At what point in our existence did it become the default conversation piece to talk about the weather? Don’t get me wrong, it is better than sitting there like a rock, saying nothing, albeit, not much better.

Every other day, during a conference call, someone brings up the weather. “Oh, I bet it’s cold up there in Michigan today, glad I am not there!” And to tell you the truth, I am glad that you are not here either, because no one wants to hear you bitching about the weather. If you are going to complain about something, complain about something you can change. Complaining about the weather makes about as much sense as complaining about the ocean being salty.

People from the south are pussies.

If I were to pick between shoveling a bit of snow compared to evacuating my house every year during hurricane season, you don’t have to be a genius to figure out which one I would go with. A couple of more battles that should be no brainers; frost vs. earthquakes, snow vs. wildfires, sleet vs. tornadoes, etc… You can keep that act of god shit and I will deal with wearing a sweater half the year.

All I know is that when hell freezes over – cause let’s face it, we are all going to hell – I will be ready, will you?

Grow up, or get the fuck out of here!

I still remember being a kid and playing sports outside, whether it was street hockey, baseball, or basketball, I could not get enough. It always seemed like the kid who owned the necessary equipment was a little bitch who required everything to go his way. The moment things did not go their way or they started to loose badly, they would take their stuff and leave. Instead of working out the problem they figured the best thing to do was to take their net, bat, or ball home so that no one else could play. Of course, if that tactic did not work they would tell your mom.

Here I am 20 years later and I find myself dealing with this same people, the names have changed, but the mentality has stayed the same. Granted these people are older now and have become so called professionals and the hockey net has now become source code and the mother figure is upper management.

A message to all you children out there living in an adult’s body…

If you have an issue, or something is not going your way, WORK IT OUT DIRECTLY WITH THE PERSON YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH.

It’s a simple concept really; at one time I would have even said that it should be common sense, although I figured out long ago that common sense is not that common after all. So stop crying wolf all the time and deal with your own problems, and from time to time, ask yourself, am I a part of the solution or a part of the problem?

Bottom line, grow up, or get the fuck out of here!!!

The love only a brother and sister could share
